About the procedure

Chin correction is an extremely effective aesthetic procedure that enables chin enlargement in patients who have a poorly developed lower jaw - the so-called. microgenius. Through a small incision under the lower edge of the jaw, a space is prepared under the muscle and on the bone itself, and a permanent implant of the desired size is placed. This correction creates and corrects the profile line of the entire face, effectively eliminates the chin, and gives the face a more harmonious shape.

Procedure after the surgery

After the procedure, the patient stays with us at the clinic for a few hours in order for the patient to fully wake up and recover, and then, with an escort, he can return home or to his accommodation. A smaller compressive bandage is placed around the chin, which is removed the next day, when the first dressing is done. Basic recovery lasts about 8 days, after which the stitches are removed and the patient can return to daily activities.

It is necessary to perform laboratory tests, which are defined during the examination with the surgeon, and before the procedure itself, an examination by our anesthesiologist will be performed, who will carefully analyze all the findings. On the day of the surgery, you should come to the clinic on an empty stomach (do not eat or drink anything), and bring all your documentation, and our staff will give you all the other necessary instructions before your surgery appointment in order to make the whole operation process as easy as possible.

Anesthesia

Surgery

Procedure before the surgery

Chin correction is always performed under general anesthesia, thus enabling complete comfort for the patient and painlessness of the entire procedure. Anesthesia is administered and supervised by an experienced specialist anesthesiologist, using the most modern anesthesia equipment and monitoring, as well as today's highest quality anesthetics, ensuring maximum patient safety.

Before the procedure itself, careful measurements and consultations are carried out so that the surgeon and the patient agree on the size of the chin implant, respecting above all the wishes of the patient and the aesthetics of his face. After induction into anesthesia, a small incision under the chin is used to access the so-called mandibular bone and the space under the muscle is prepared. Carefully place an implant that is permanent and completely mimics the feeling of bone tissue to the touch. After careful suturing, the patient wakes up from anesthesia without any pain or discomfort.
