About the procedure
Enlarged breasts in men (gynecomastia) can appear early, during puberty or later in life. The operation consists in the removal of fatty and/or glandular tissue.
BREAST LIFT
After the surgeon's examination, it is necessary to perform laboratory tests, EKG, and it is preferable to do an internist's examination. If you drink aspirin or some other preparations that make blood clotting more difficult, you should stop taking this therapy two weeks before the operation, and if you are a smoker, it is advisable to stop smoking a few weeks before the procedure. Our staff will give you all the necessary instructions before the surgery appointment in order to make the entire procedure easier for you. On the day of the operation, you should come to the clinic on an empty stomach (do not eat or drink anything) and bring your medical documentation.
Procedure before the surgery
Anesthesia
Gynecomastia surgery is performed under general anesthesia.
Enlarged breasts, which mainly consist of fatty tissue, are reduced by liposuction. The advantage of liposuction is that there is no incision, but only two 2 mm wide incisions for liposuction cannulas. In the case of enlarged breasts that are mainly composed of glandular tissue, a semicircular incision in the lower part of the nipple is sometimes required.

Procedure after the surgery
After the operation, you stay at the Polyclinic for a few hours to fully wake up and recover, and after that, you can go home or to your accommodation with an escort. Each patient receives our emergency phone number, which can be reached by the Polyclinic staff in case of need. A special corset must be worn after the operation. It is recommended to rest for the first 24 to 48 hours, and avoid physical exertion for the next 2 to 4 weeks.
