Procedure before the surgery
After the surgeon's examination, it is necessary to perform laboratory tests, ECG and ultrasound of the breast or mammography, and it is preferable to have an internist's examination. If you drink Aspirin or some other preparations that make blood clotting more difficult, you should stop taking this therapy two weeks before the operation, and if you are a smoker, it is advisable to stop smoking a few weeks before the procedure.
Our staff will give you all the necessary instructions before the surgery appointment to make the entire procedure easier for you. On the day of the operation, you should come to the clinic on an empty stomach (do not eat or drink anything) and bring your medical documentation.
Anesthesia
Breast augmentation (augmentation mammaplasty) is performed under general anesthesia, thus enabling complete painlessness of the entire procedure as well as optimal comfort for the patient. Anesthesia is performed and supervised by an experienced specialist anesthesiologist using the most modern anesthesia equipment (OHMEDA) and monitoring, as well as today's highest quality anesthetics, thereby ensuring maximum patient safety.
Surgery
Breast augmentation surgery is performed through a smaller incision of a few centimeters hidden in a natural fold under the breast. It can also be done through an incision in the armpit or around the nipple. The implant can be placed under the glandular tissue, under the pectoral muscle or between the muscles ("dual plane" zone). The surgeon will recommend the location of the incision, the method of operation and the place of implant placement during the examination itself.
At the end of the operation, a drain is placed, which is removed after 24 hours. After removing the drainage, the patient is fitted with a special postoperative compression bra, which is sewn from a comfortable material and is recommended to be worn for 4 weeks after the procedure.
Procedure after the surgery
After the procedure, you stay from a few hours to 24 hours in the Polyclinic in order to fully wake up and recover, which depends on the type and scope of the operation. After that, accompanied, you can go home or to your accommodation. The day after the operation, the drains are removed, you get a special bra that you need to wear for 4-6 weeks. It is recommended to rest for the first 24 to 48 hours, and avoid physical exertion for the next 2 to 4 weeks. Each patient will receive an emergency phone number that can be reached by the Polyclinic staff in case of need. Our staff will give you detailed instructions after the operation so that you can recover as soon as possible and return to your daily activities.
