About the procedure
Face lifting surgery is one of the synonyms for aesthetic surgery. Aging of the human face is an inevitable process in which the gravity of our planet participates as well as the natural mechanisms of aging in human cells and tissue. Face and neck skin tightening (face lifting) is one of the most effective procedures for rejuvenating and refreshing the appearance of the face and neck. A careful surgical approach and modern technology enable the removal of excess, hanging skin on the face and neck, as well as the elimination of wrinkles. At the same time, using the so-called SMAS technique, the musculature of the face and neck returns to its previous position. The achieved results dramatically refresh and rejuvenate the appearance, but always within natural limits and without the appearance of a mask.

Procedure before the surgery
After the surgeon's examination, it is necessary to perform laboratory tests, ECG, and it is preferable to do an internist's examination. If you drink Aspirin or some other preparations that make blood clotting more difficult, you should stop taking this therapy two weeks before the operation, and if you are a smoker, it is advisable to stop smoking a few weeks before the procedure. Our staff will give you all the necessary instructions before the surgery appointment in order to facilitate the entire operation . On the day of the operation, you should come to the clinic on an empty stomach (do not eat or drink anything) and bring your medical documentation.
Anesthesia
Face lifting is a completely painless procedure , and there is no pain even after the operation. The operation itself can be performed under general anesthesia, as well as under locally potentiated anesthesia, which is decided by a specialist anesthesiologist, with agreement and respect for the patient's wishes .
After the surgery , a special compressive bandage is placed around the face and under the neck, which is removed after 24 hours, when the first dressing is done. After the procedure, the patient stays in our clinic for a few hours to fully wake up and recover, and then, accompanied by an escort, he/she goes home or to his accommodation. Resting for a period of 24 to 48 hours is definitely recommended. Basic recovery lasts from 10 to 12 days, after which most patients return to their daily activities.
Each patient receives our emergency phone number, where they can call the Polyclinic's staff if necessary. Our staff will give you detailed instructions after the operation so that you can recover as soon as possible and return to your daily activities.
