About the procedure
Nose correction (rhinoplasty) is the most common operation at our clinic and is certainly the most demanding facial procedure. The surgeon's experience and keen sense of facial aesthetics are paramount during this operation, and the achieved results give the face a harmonious and more beautiful appearance. Aesthetic surgery can be combined with the correction of deviation of the nasal septum, which enables unhindered breathing. Using an approach with a surgical incision inside the nostrils, an external scar is avoided, and the recovery is quick and usually painless.
Before/ After
Procedure before the surgery
After the surgeon's examination, it is necessary to perform laboratory tests, an ECG and sometimes, after severe trauma to the nose, an X-ray of the facial bones. In addition to laboratory findings, it is advisable to perform an internal medicine examination. Our staff will give you all the necessary instructions before the surgery appointment to facilitate the entire procedure. On the day of the operation, you should come to the clinic on an empty stomach (do not eat or drink anything) and bring your medical documentation.
Surgery
After the patient is completely asleep, the surgical procedure for nose correction is started using microincisions inside the nostrils. Using a whole series of specially designed instruments, the nose is slowly formed according to the new desired shape, while taking into account the complete structure of the face, so that the final result is as harmonious and natural as possible for the entire face and nose. After the procedure is completed, the incisions are carefully connected inside the nostrils with resorbable sutures that do not need to be removed, and smaller tampons are placed to ensure proper adaptation of the nasal mucosa and prevent possible bleeding. Aquaplast is placed on the outside - a special material that fixes the new position of the nasal bones as well as the entire newly designed structure of the nose. With the placement of Aquaplast, the surgical process is completed and the patient wakes up from anesthesia.
Anesthesia
Nose correction is always performed under general anesthesia, thus enabling complete comfort for the patient and painlessness of the entire procedure. Anesthesia is performed and supervised by an experienced specialist anesthesiologist, using the most modern anesthesia equipment (OHMEDA) and monitoring, as well as today's highest quality anesthetics, ensuring maximum patient safety.
