Dermal fillers are products injected into special zoned – wrinkles – using special microneedles, in order to reduce wrinkles, renew the facial appearance, and optionally fill in the cheekbones, lips, or other facial areas that have experienced tissue atrophy.

HYALURONIC ACID has been the golden standard for injection therapy for a number of years. It is a stabilized non-animal hyaluronic acid produced through biotechnological procedures in very strict laboratory conditions. Due to its high stability and non-allergic characteristics, HYALURONIC ACID is extremely biocompatible with the human tissue and can be applied without a prior test application.

At our POLYCLINIC, we use only those products with HYALURONIC ACID of highest quality, including JUVEDERM, produced by the company ALLERGAN that also produces BOTOX, and RESTYLANE products produced by the company Q-Med. Both companies have adequately registered products in the Republic of Croatia, and they are one of the best manufacturers of products with hyaluronic acid in the world.

The process of injecting hyaluronic acid is minimally unpleasant, due to the fact that these products contain a local anaesthetic, and the result is visible immediately after application. Seeing as hyaluronic acid stimulates an increased production of the body’s own collagen, the result itself can be additionally enhanced in the following weeks.

Injection therapy with HYALURONIC ACID is used for:

1. CORRECTION OF WRINKLES:

  • nasolabial folds
  • wrinkles caused by smoking
  • laugh lines
  • under-eye bags
  • mentolabial lines
  • glabellar and forehead wrinkles
  • acne or injury scars

2. FACIAL CONTOURING:

  • Lip shaping / enhancement
  • Cheek / cheekbone shaping
  • Chin shaping
  • Nose shaping / nose defects
  • Eyebrow shaping

3. REJUVENATION OF DRY AND EXHAUSTED SKIN OF FACE AND DECOLLETAGE

The effect of hyaluronic injection products lasts for around 8 – 12 months, although the effect of some products, depending on the cohesion of the acid itself, can last up to 16 months and longer, depending on the type of product and the manufacturer, as well as on the individual body and its resorption capabilities.
